Worrying About the Future
An everyday emotion Jesus explicitly commanded against.
While a natural human response to life's uncertainties, the Bible is clear in its instruction not to worry about tomorrow. In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus tells his followers not to be anxious about their life, what they will eat, or what they will wear, noting that worry cannot add a single hour to one's life (Matthew 6:25-34). The Apostle Paul later echoes this, instructing believers to 'not be anxious about anything,' but instead to pray.
