Touching a Woman on Her Period
A state of ritual uncleanness.
Levitical law designates a woman as ritually 'unclean' during her menstrual cycle. It strictly forbids anyone from touching her, as doing so would transfer the state of uncleanness to them until evening. This would make normal daily interactions in households, workplaces, and public spaces impossible. '...whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.' — Leviticus 15:19 (ESV)
