Getting Divorced

While the Old Testament permitted divorce, Jesus established a much stricter standard in the New Testament. He taught that divorcing for any reason other than 'sexual immorality' causes the divorced person to commit adultery upon remarrying. This directly contradicts modern no-fault divorce laws and the concept of 'irreconcilable differences.'
