Remarrying Your Ex

If you divorce, your spouse remarries, and then that second marriage ends, the Bible forbids you from remarrying your original spouse. Deuteronomy calls this practice an 'abomination before the Lord,' viewing the person as 'defiled' by the interim marriage. 'Her former husband... may not take her again to be his wife, after she has been defiled...' — Deuteronomy 24:4 (ESV)
